Meet Jack:

With over 5 years of hands-on clinical experience and a background in customer service spanning 10 years, Jack comprehends the significance of assisting individuals and fostering positive experiences.

After graduating from the University of Adelaide, he embarked on his career as a marketing assistant and customer support, through which he discovered his true calling in making a meaningful impact on people’s lives. According to Jack, “Helping people feels like an adrenaline injection into my spirit; it simply illuminates the day ahead!”

After holding managerial positions in customer service, both in Australia and internationally in the Asia-Pacific region, Jack’s strong motivation to follow in his parents’ footsteps led him on a transformative path towards becoming a pharmacist. While Jack was studying toward a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy; however, it was a conversation with his surgeon neighbor that sparked his interest in acupuncture and its potential for pain relief. Inspired by the profound impact acupuncture had on her patients, Jack decided to explore this ancient healing practice.

Relocating his family to Melbourne, Jack enrolled in a five-year double degree program at RMIT University, where he immersed himself in the study of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. This transformative experience not only deepened his understanding of health and illness but also led him to graduate from RMIT with distinction in both the Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine) programs. Recognising his dedication and hard work, Jack was invited to join the prestigious Golden Key International Honour Society in 2018.

After completing his studies and internships, Jack had the privilege of working with two highly respected practitioners: Dr. Kang-Xia Li, the founder of Tong Kang Lee Chinese Medicine Centres, and Dr. Zhen Zheng, the founder of Geelong Chinese Medicine Clinic, a long-established Chinese medicine clinic in Geelong, Victoria.

Dr. Li possesses exceptional clinical skills, with a Ph.D. degree from RMIT and over 30 years of valuable experience in the field. His expertise in acupuncture and herbal medicine is widely respected. Additionally, he serves as a clinic supervisor for RMIT’s Chinese medicine students.

Dr. Zheng has over 25 years of experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Her caring approach to patients and clinical skills are highly respected and sought after. She has a PhD from University of Melbourne, and is an associate professor and clinical supervisor at RMIT University. Dr. Zheng specialises in using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to treat pain, insomnia, peri-menopausal conditions, and other health conditions. She is an international leader in the field of acupuncture for pain management, and her work has made significant contributions to the field.
